Our history

The Dammers Group of Companies has a rich history providing Shipping Services, offering a wide range of expert shipagency and shipmanagement services. These services include, but are not limited to: financial and fiscal ship management, maritime trust services, crewing, ship- and cargo-brokerage, liner and tramp ship agency, project management and consultancy and total logistics solutions, including warehousing.

Timeline


1964: Following the transfer of seven vessels from The Netherlands’ ship registry to the registry of the Netherlands Antilles (now Curaçao), Dammers & van der Heide Shipping & Trading (Antilles) Inc. was established in Curaçao.

1993: The Dammers Group Company “NASMACO”, already prominent in the ship management field, was renamed “Dammers Shipmanagement Inc” and ship management functions were transferred to the newly incorporated Dammers Shipmanagement Inc. Currently, Dammers Shipmanagement Inc. manages over 120 vessels. 

1995: Curline Inc. was established as part of the Dammers Group of Companies. The company’s purpose is to represent Evergreen Marine Corporation's global container cargo transportation services. All activities related to the handling of import/export cargo, sales and marketing, documentation, and operations are handled within this company.

December 27, 2006: Our name was officially changed from Dammers & van der Heide Shipping & Trading (Antilles) Inc., to Dammers Shipagencies Inc. The modernized and shortened name enables a better branding of our Corporate identity under the Dammers Group umbrella and facilitates operations in other areas and countries.

2007: Sealine Inc. and Dammers Seamanagement Services Inc. were established to represent Seaboard Marine Ltd. and a Dutch container carrier, respectively.

2011: Dammers opened a shipping agency office in Bonaire: Dammers Shipagencies Bonaire Inc.

2013: Dammers opened a shipping agency office in Aruba: Caribbean Port Agencies Inc.

2014: Dutch Carib Line Inc. was established to represent a combi carrier (containers and breakbulk) from Europe.

2020: A separate logistics company was formed to handle the spares for the vessels under the Dammers Group.

2022: The Group now employs 55 highly skilled workers to meet your shipping needs.

All of our offices are fully automated and we have an in-house ICT department. We’re available to our clients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
